Christopher Cabalona is a Menswear Designer based in San Francisco that is committed to developing environmentally friendly fashion. He grew up in Bangar, La Union, Philippines and earned a BFA in Menswear Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University.
After showing his graduate collection at his school in May 2019, he was featured by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) - Fashion Future Graduate Showcase (FFGS) in New York and presented his creations to a wider audience.
The CFDA FFGS highlighted 50 graduates all over the US that lead him to be discovered by i-D Vice Online Magazine and recognized him as one out of “8 emerging designers to watch.”
Christopher then was chosen by his school director to show his collection in New York Fashion Week in September 2019 for the AAU Masters Degree Program.
Christopher is currently working as a freelancer and actively looking for an assistant designer job position. He has more than 2 years of experience as an assistant technical designer and is hoping to find work in the design industry soon. He is hopeful in moving to New York one day for better opportunities.
